Migrating from Version 1.6 to 2.0

Welcome to Hedger Pro version 2.0! If you are moving over from Version 1.6, you will immediately notice that version 2.0 contains a lot more functionality. This guide highlights the main differences and shows you how to easily port your existing setup.

(Note: For a period of time, you will still be able to bet in both versions 1.6 and 2.0. Your 1.6 portfolio and bets will continue to run normally while you get comfortable with 2.0.)

Headline Changes in 2.0

1. Project-Level Systems

In version 1.6, you managed individual systems. In version 2.0, systems are grouped under Projects.

You can have up to 50 Active Projects.
Each project can contain up to 100 Systems (giving you up to 5,000 active systems).
You can have an unlimited number of Draft projects to test and refine in the background.
Systems within a single project must share the same core rules (e.g., they must all be Back or all be Lay systems, and share the same ‘Minutes to Post’).

2. The Slicing System

Version 2.0 introduces a powerful new Research Slice Tool. Instead of clicking each filter individually and researching them one by one, you can now split a filter into its constituent parts (like individual racecourses or race classes) and see the performance of each slice instantly side-by-side.

3. Better Shortlist Navigation on Cards

The Cards view has been completely overhauled to provide much better shortlist navigation, making it easier than ever to track your qualifiers for the day and review your history at a glance.

Importing Sample Systems

If you want to see how projects work without touching your own systems yet, importing the sample systems is the perfect way to start.

Go to Research > Management > New.
Select Samples.
Click Add example projects.

This will instantly import a bundle of 26 sample systems. You can view them in your Research tab or head over to your Portfolio to see them all combined. From the Portfolio, you can enter a stake, observe the combined Profit & Loss chart, and turn on Auto Betting if you wish.

Porting V1.6 Systems into V2.0

When you are ready to bring your hard work from version 1.6 into 2.0, the process is very straightforward.

Go to Research > Management > New > Port.
Here you will see a list of all your systems currently sitting in version 1.6.
Select the systems you want to group together into a new 2.0 Project. Remember, systems grouped in the same project must share the same main filters (like Back/Lay and MTP).
Give your new project a name (e.g., “Apex Lay 1 MTP”) and click Create.

Your ported systems will initially be saved as a Draft.

To make them active:

Open the new project in the Research tab.
Hit Research to load the current data.
Change the status to Active and click Save.

Your 1.6 systems are now fully ported, active, and available in your 2.0 Portfolio!

Don’t Forget: Buffer Commission

When you first log in to 2.0, visit your Account page and ensure you have entered your Buffer Commission amount (e.g., 2%). This ensures that your Bet tab results and overall P&L accurately reflect your winnings after commission has been deducted.
