Stats Reports

Deep entity research – discover high-performing jockeys, trainers, combos, and horses, build custom follow profiles, and carry them directly into your betting systems.

While the Pro App is focused on daily race cards and overall portfolio management, Stats Reports is a dedicated standalone application at hedgerpro.co.uk/reports/. It gives you deep, statistical insight into the athletes and yards behind the racing: Jockeys, Trainers, Trainer/Jockey combinations, and Horses over rolling windows of up to 52 weeks.

Why Use Stats Reports?

Spot Real Yard & Jockey Form: Separate true talent from lucky streaks by analyzing Strike Rates, Percentage Rivals Beaten, and Impact Values over 52 weeks.
Build Targeted Profiles: Create saved watchlists (e.g. *”Strike Rate > 16% Jockeys”* or *”Top Turf Trainers”*) with a couple of clicks.
Integrate with Research: Your saved Profiles can be selected directly inside Research under the REPORT FILTERS block, letting you automatically filter systems to include only your vetted trainers and jockeys!
Race Day Scopes: Narrow the table to show only jockeys and trainers with declared runners Today or Tomorrow.

Filter Controls & The Entity Grid

The top control panel lets you sculpt exactly which group of racing professionals you want to analyze:

Primary Filter Controls

Control	What It Does
Stats For	Choose your entity type: Jockey, Trainer, Trainer / Jockey (Combo), or Horse.
Stats Weeks	The lookback timeframe for calculating all statistics (e.g. 4, 8, 12, 26, or 52 weeks).
Ran Within Weeks	Restricts results to entities with at least one run within the last N weeks (1-52), filtering out inactive or retired participants.
Today / Tomorrow	Instant one-click filter to display only jockeys, trainers, or horses with confirmed runners today or tomorrow!
Race	When Today or Tomorrow is active, lets you narrow down to a single meeting (e.g. Ascot) or view All Races.
Stats Display	Choose how cell figures render: Value, Score, Value / Score, or Score / Value.
Columns	Toggle which stat columns appear in the grid.

Sorting & Column Min/Max Filters

Sort by Any Metric: Click any column header (such as Wins, Strike Rate, or Impact Value) to sort the table ascending or descending.
Min / Max Range Filtering: Every stat column features input boxes above its header. Enter a minimum or maximum value (for example, entering 15 under SR% and 100 under Runs) and press Tab – the table instantly filters to show only entities meeting your criteria!

Key Metrics Explained in Plain English

Hedger Pro calculates several advanced statistical indicators to give you a genuine edge over simple win counts:

Metric	What It Measures & Why It Matters
Runs & Wins	Total rides/runners and winning results recorded during the lookback period.
SR% (Strike Rate)	Winning percentage (`Wins ÷ Runs × 100`). Look for trainers or jockeys maintaining high strike rates over large sample sizes.
IV (Impact Value)	Compares an entity’s actual win rate against what random chance would predict based on field size. An IV of `1.0` is average; an IV of `1.50` means they win 50% more often than statistically expected!
PRB (Percentage Rivals Beaten)	Calculates what percentage of the opposing field this horse or jockey finishes ahead of. A runner finishing 2nd in a 20-runner field beats 90% of rivals – PRB captures this consistency where raw win strike rate fails.
B2L / AHP (Back to Lay %)	Percentage of races where the horse’s odds shortened significantly in-running compared to its BSP. Essential for identifying front-runners and trading opportunities!
SG (Speed Grade / Score)	A normalized speed and performance score relative to class standards.
ADB (Average Distance Beaten)	Average distance in lengths behind the winner across all runs.

Profiles

Building and Managing Profiles

Profiles are saved collections of horses, jockeys, or trainers that you want to track or use in your betting systems.

Creating a Profile

Set your filters in the table (e.g. choose Jockey, set Runs min to 100, and SR% min to 16%).
In the profile bar, click the + (New) button.
Enter a descriptive name (e.g. *”Elite Jockeys 52W”*) and click Create.
Use the Check All box (or tick individual rows) to add your chosen jockeys into the profile.
Hedger Pro saves your selections automatically.

Using Profiles in the Research Tab

Once created, open the RESEARCH tab on any project, expand the REPORT FILTERS block, and select your profile! Your system will now automatically restrict qualifiers to only include horses handled by your handpicked elite professionals.

Charts & history

In-Depth Entity Histories & Charts

Beside every entity row, three interactive action icons allow you to drill down even further:

History Icon (Book): Expands a chronological log of all recent races run by that horse or ridden by that jockey, including track, date, finishing position, beaten distance, and BSP odds.
Calendar Icon: Displays scheduled upcoming entries for Today and Tomorrow so you can see where they are heading next.
Chart Icon: Opens an interactive performance graph plotting strike rate trends and profit curves over time, helping you immediately spot whether a trainer’s yard is hitting top form or going cold.
